Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) is planning to construct a modern university campus that shall house facilities for enhancing university research.

Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba, the founding Vice Chancellor of UTAMU revealed that the estimated budget of $10m (about 40 billion Uganda shillings) is to be provided under mortgage financing arrangement.

He says the university has already identified a bank which would offer a mortgage of $10m to construct the university building facilities.

“UTAMU acknowledges that to be recognized as the best research university in technology and management in Africa, it must have other excellent facilities like libraries, laboratories, workshops, lecture theatres, seminar rooms, offices, ICT infrastructure and facilities among others,” he says.
