Magufuli arrived amidst downpours

Tanzania’s John P Magufuli has been the first head of state to arrive for president Museveni’s inauguration tomorrow.

He follows Swaziland’s Prime Minister Dr. S. Dlamini and Lesotho’s King Lestsi who arrived yesterday.

Government invited and expects fourteen Heads of State to witness in person President Museveni’s fifth term swearing in on May 12 at Kololo Independence Grounds.

The Heads of state invited include those from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Kingdom of Lesotho, South Sudan, Tanzania, Mali, Togo, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Swaziland, China, Nigeria, and Russian Federation.

Rwanda, India, Japan and Germany will send representatives while two former presidents Ali Hassan Mwinyi of Tanzania and Mwai Kibaki of Kenya are also expected to attend the ceremony.
