The kyambogo University Electoral Commission has resolved to embark on using the usual ballot papers in conducting a re-election scheduled Tuesday March 21, 2017.
According to the Chairman Electoral Commission, Joseph Ssempagala, they are to use all the two systems to conduct this election as Ballots for voting and E-voting system for verification.
“This time we shall not just use only one system as it is not reliable… but for the Hall chairpersons it will be strictly E-voting since the numbers are few,” Ssempagala told Campus Times on phone.
The document released by the office of the Dean of students dated March 13, 2017, indicates that on Tuesday they will only vote for the Guild presidents and the Guild Representative Councillors (GRCs) and then Wednesday March 22 vote for Hall Chairmen.
Students are requested to come with the University Identity Cards or for the First years to present any University document with a stamp and a photo of the owner.
