Nakandi Winfred has officially assumed office as the President for Uganda National Students’ Association (UNSA).
This follows the swearing in ceremony held on Wednesday 19 April 2017 for all newly elected leaders of UNSA.
The student’s representatives took oath of office at the Ministry of Education, Embassy House.
The ceremony was presided over by Paul Amoru, the UNSA Board Chairperson in the company of Kibenge Owen Aggrey, the ministry’s Under Secretary.
Nakandi Winfred, the new UNSA President is from Kyambogo University, where she has been serving as Guild Vice President 2016/2017.
Asasira Arnold from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) was sworn in as UNSA General Secretary.
Asiimire Mackline from MUBS is Secretary Finance and Planning.
Others who took oath include:
- Bikala Simon from Gulu University – Representative to National Council for Higher Education.
- Kabasinga Vivian from Ndejje University – Secretary for International Affairs
- Atuhaire Emily Gulu University – Secretary for Women’s Affairs.
