African Rural University Hosts Team from RU Groninger Institute of Higher Education

A team of ladies from RU Groninger Institute of Higher Education in Amsterdam visited African Rural University (ARU) on 4th  August 2018.

These included Kitty den Boogert and Josje van der Linder.

The visit was aimed at knowing more about African Rural University’s Philosophy, vision and mission.

Among other unique features of ARU, they were impressed by included the wealth of knowledge in the ARU Library and Community Resource Center (LCRC),arboretum ,  ARU anthem and also the conducive environment at ARU.

The visit was a result of the sharing that Kitty den Boogert and Josje van der Linder had with the ARU Guild President, MS Anyinge ChristineAnyinge Christine together with other three students during the 2018 Summer School that took place at Gulu University.

Were happy to see books written by Peace In the library we know her supervisor from back home in Amsterdam.  This university is practical since students come direct and get access to learn from the arboretum.

The team applauded the ARU Vice Chancellor Dr. Mwalimu Musheshe for coming up with such a great Idea of starting a university for women and also for having a holistic approach to development.
