Ante Rebic opened the scoring from a Chelsea keeper Caballero clearance  that landed straight to the Croatia striker who brilliantly fired the ball into the net.

With ten minutes to time, Modric picked the ball up 25 yards from goal and bent it superbly into the bottom corner for the Second.

Rakitic added further gloss to the scoreline, and further embarrassment to Argentina, in stoppage time.
