Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) started out in May 2013 with only five undergraduate Courses namely; Bachelor of Information Systems and Technology, Bachelor of Science Computer Science, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Science in Economics.

By end of 2013, the number of Courses on offer had doubled to incorporate independent and collaborative qualifications with other Universities like Amity University, Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Uganda Christian University (UCU) and University of Limpopo at Postgraduate Diploma/Master’s/Doctorate level among others.

UTAMU also recently entered into a partnership with Saarland University, a collaboration which will see the take off of a Postgraduate Courses in Evaluation. The project will be funded by Germany Development Cooperation- GIZ and begins in October this year.

Today, UTAMU has 32 Courses accredited by the National Council for Higher Education: 7 Postgraduate Diplomas, 25 Undergraduate Courses and 4 Diplomas.

The University admits students throughout the year: January, May and September intakes with Day, Evening, Weekend and Long distance modes of delivery.
