STV Uganda has halted its broadcasting services in the country if we are to go by the letter making rounds on social media.

A few years back, city tycoon Sulaiman Kabangala alias SK Mbuga established STV Uganda with a burning desire to outcompete the big media houses.

This follows an unprecedented move last Friday when he summarily stopped all on-air- shows and put the presenters on ‘katebe’ without any prior warning.

However, years down the broadcasting lane, the media house has failed to live up to the expectations of its shareholders.

Earlier today, a letter dated 21 March 2021 made its way to social media, addressing the telecommunications regulatory body Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).

According to the letter written by Buziga-based TV station management notifies UCC about their decision to halt broadcasting services, in an effort to revamp their studios.
