Apply for Beggs-Dowling-Mathieu (BDM) Union Scholarships for Post Secondary Study in Canada, 2014

United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) is offering 18 post secondary scholarships of $1,000 each to pursue full time studies at a Canadian university, college. To qualify for the BDM Union Scholarship program applicants must be a UFCW Canada member in good standing or a dependant/spouse of a UFCW Canada member in good standing. Application deadline is September 30, 2014.

Eligibility: To qualify for the BDM Union Scholarship program you must be a UFCW Canada member in good standing or a dependant/spouse of a UFCW Canada member in good standing.

Scholarship Open for International Students: Students of Canada (UFCW Canada member in good standing or a dependant/spouse of a UFCW Canada member in good standing) can apply for these scholarships.

Scholarship Description: Each year UFCW Canada offers 18 annual Beggs-Dowling-Mathieu Union Scholarships of $1,000 each to active members and their family members for post-secondary study. If you are a UFCW Canada member in good standing, and the student is attending full-time studies at a Canadian university, college, or other recognized post-secondary institution then you, your spouse and children are eligible to apply for the union scholarship. Allocated by regions across Canada, these union scholarships are named as a lasting tribute to three past leaders of our union: William Beggs, Fred Dowling, and Roméo Mathieu.

Philimon Badagawa is a multimedia journalist with skills in news gathering, packaging, editing and online publishing. He has knowledge in data visualization, can design and manage websites. He previously worked as a journalist with Observer media and authored several articles and stories. He does research, video & audio recording, editing and production for online publication. He Participated in The New Dawn photography campaign aimed at rebranding Northern Uganda-USAID/NUTI Project (2010). Philimon is in love with photography, writing, reading, sharing new ideas and interacting with reasonable people for skills development.
