JOB DETAILS:
DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES
REPORTS TO: HR MANAGER
PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide support in the various human resource functions
which includes but is not limited to sourcing, on-boarding, training and development,
performance management, employee relations, employee retention..

RESPONSIBILITIES
• In charge of updating and running of the monthly payroll. Updates include
• Overtime, Company Loan, Mid month advances, Late comers, Cooperative
• savings and various recoveries
• Processing of company loans and mid-month advances as well as providing bank
• loan letters
• Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place
• Identifying training and development opportunities
• Organising staff training sessions, workshops and activities
• Providing advice to line managers on how to effectively manage performance and
• the best ways of managing staff to ensure optimal performance
• Managing employee poor performance and misconduct cases and taking
• appropriate action in line with legislation
• Sourcing of the best candidates – advising on the best but also cost effective
• places from which to source from candidates; ensuring that candidates are sourced
• within SLA
• Orientation of new employees on HR procedures and ensuring that all joiners are
• aware of company rules and regulations
• Conducting reference checks on possible candidates and informing unsuccessful
• applicants
• Conducting exit interviews
• Liaison between Management, Union and staff – and ensuring that there is a good
• working relationship
• Liaise with the Company Doctor, Clinic Officer & Nurse in all issues regarding
• clinic operations
• Making value-add reports – identifying trends and advising accordingly
• Provide guidance, support and leadership to team reporting to you
• Any other assignment as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor in
• line with relevant procedures

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge/qualifications
• Bachelors’ degree in Human Resource Management from a reputable university
• Post graduate diploma or degree in a business related field an added advantage
• Minimum 4 years experience in a similar role
• Intermediate skills in MS Office packages especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Knowledge of ERP an added advantage

Job Education Requirements: Bachelors’ degree in Human Resource Management from a reputable university
