Aubrey O’Day had social media talking after she touched down in New York recently, with folks swearing she was about to take the stand in Diddy’s trial. The rumors got louder when her former Danity Kane band member, Dawn Richard, began testifying in court on Friday, May 16. But Aubrey is setting the record straight amid ongoing speculation.

Aubrey’s In NYC For Her Podcast, Not The Courtroom

Aubrey O’Day came forward to address the claims after fans started connecting dots that weren’t there. The singer had flown out to New York to record her new podcast, ‘Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes present: Aubrey O’Day, Covering the Diddy Trial,’ at iHeartRadio’s studio. She’s not in the Big Apple to testify against Diddy… at least not yet.

“I’m not here to testify for the Diddy trial, that I know of,” Aubrey said on her podcast, per PEOPLE. However, Aubrey did reveal that Homeland Security reached out to her, followed by an in-person sit-down with the government agency. With Diddy’s trial expected to drag on for eight to 10 weeks, per NPR, she might still get that courtroom call. For now, though, she’s focused on breaking down the trial’s updates on her podcast.

Aubrey’s Heart Goes Out To Cassie’s “Unmeasurable” Courage

When it comes to Cassie, Aubrey’s got nothing but love and respect for her. The ‘Me & U’ singer, who’s due to give birth any day now, took the stand to testify against Diddy for four days, reliving some heavy trauma. According to Us Magazine, Aubrey called her bravery “unmeasurable,” wondering how Cassie held it together as she faced her ex in court.

She says she hit up a friend who’s been in the courtroom since the trial kicked off on Monday, May 11. “I was asking, ‘Does she feel like she’s still hurting?’” Aubrey shared. She was told that Cassie was “definitely still hurting” but finding a “cathartic” release by finally speaking her truth.  Aubrey admitted it broke her heart to hear Cassie’s still in pain. “I just wanted to believe that this was something that she was so healed from,” she added. But she’s rooting for Cassie’s healing, especially now that her testimony is over.

Dawn Richard’s Testimony Reveals Alleged Skillet Attack

Meanwhile, Dawn Richard became the latest witness to take the stand and testify against Diddy on Friday, May 16. The Danity Kane and Diddy Dirty Money member recounted a 2009 incident in which Diddy allegedly tried to hit Cassie with a skillet during a recording session with DK. She said the attack was sparked by Diddy not receiving his food, prompting him to start “screaming belligerently.”

Dawn claimed Cassie curled into a “fetal position” as Diddy punched and kicked her “body and her head,” per the New York Post. Then, the following day, Dawn said Diddy confronted her and her DK bandmates about what they’d witnessed. They were allegedly warned that “where he was from, people go missing if they talk.” Asked what she thought this statement meant, Dawn responded, “Death.”
