Canon Foundation Research Fellowships in Europe and Japan, 2018

The Canon Foundation in Europe offers Research Fellowships for individuals to carry out research in Europe and Japan. This fellowship is available for European and Japanese nationals.

The Canon Foundation is a philanthropic, grant-making institution, active in the promotion of international cultural and scientific relations between Europe and Japan.

Candidates should have obtained at least their Master’s degree within the last ten years. Non-nationals should have permanent citizenship in either Europe or Japan.

 

  • Applications Deadline: September 15, 2018
  • Course Level: Fellowships are available to pursue research.
  • Study Subject: Research can be conducted in all subjects. Applications in all research fields are allowed.
  • Scholarship Award: Fellowships are awarded for a minimum of three months to maximum one year
  • Nationality: This fellowship is available for European and Japanese nationals. Non-nationals should have permanent citizenship in Europe or Japan.
  • Number of Scholarships: Every year, there are about 15 Research Fellowships for Europeans and Japanese researchers who look for funds to do research in Japan and Europe respectively.
  • Scholarship can be taken in Europe and Japan

 

Eligibility for the Scholarship: 

Eligible Countries: This fellowship is available for European and Japanese nationals. Non-nationals should have permanent citizenship in Europe or Japan.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • European and Japanese nationals. Non-nationals should have permanent citizenship in Europe or Japan.
  • Applicants with at least a Master’s degree obtained within the last 10 years.
  • Europeans are expected to do their research in Japan and Japanese to do their research in Europe.
  • Candidates should have obtained at least their Master’s degree within the last ten years. Non-nationals should have permanent citizenship in either Europe or Japan.

English Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
