YMCA was founded in 1959 and has various branches throughout Uganda, e.g Kampala, Mukono, Jinja, Mbale, Mbarara and Kasese branches.

YMCA Comprehensive Institute is one of the other Degree Awarding Institutions recognized in Uganda by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) as a fully registered and classified Tertiary Institution for Higher learning.

He previously worked as a journalist with Observer media and authored several articles and stories. He does research, video & audio recording, editing and production for online publication. He Participated in The New Dawn photography campaign aimed at rebranding Northern Uganda-USAID/NUTI Project (2010). Philimon is in love with photography, writing, reading, sharing new ideas and interacting with reasonable people for skills development.   4. It seems like the Jinja YMCA is understaffed. On several occasions I’ve tried to pick up some literature and to ask questions, but there is no one except students to tend to me. To make it simple, you can have brochures on a desk to show the different programs offered, fees structures, term start dates, and application forms. To me that seems more efficient than wasting my time.

  5. Hello, this is Herbert i want to apply for a plumbing course. what is the duration of that course and what programs do you have for it. i further more want to know weather i can upgrade to a diploma course.
