COVID-19: KIU Starts Mass Vaccination for Staff and Students

Kampala International University (KIU) has today Tuesday, November 23 started a mass Covid-19 vaccination exercise in partnership with Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and the Ministry of Health.

The three-day exercise kicked off today morning from 8:00am till 4:30pm, at the KIU Main Campus in Kansanga, in reference to the university statement. The exercise is scheduled to run for 3 days.

“We invite students, staff and the entire neighborhood community to take advantage of this 3-day exercise,” read the statement in part.

On arrival for vaccination at the university clinic, staff members and students were required to present a national identity card or voting slip from the Electoral Commission or a copy of parents’ national IDs while internationals are obliged to present a passport or national identity card from their country of origin.

The vaccination exercise at the private university is intended to ensure that all university students and staff are vaccinated as per the presidential and Ministry of Health Covid-19 prevention directives and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
