Cristiano Ronaldo Gives Updates on his Retirement from Football

Manchester United‘s forward player, Cristiano Ronaldo has given an update on the possibility of when he will be hanging his boots.

Ronaldo was speaking at the award ceremony at the Quinas de Ouro in Portugal on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022, which was reported by Mirror Football.

He was recognised as the top international scorer for the year. According to the 37-year-old, he does not see retirement in his future anytime soon.

I hope to continue being part of the Portuguese international setup for a few more years. I feel motivated, my ambition is high. I am in a team with young people, I want to be in the World Cup but also in the next European Championships

He expressed his excitement as it concerns winning the award, he also said he has come a long way to get the current place he is in his career.

I am proud to receive an award of such magnitude. I never thought I could achieve it. It has been a long road but I would like to say that my journey is not over yet. There is still a little more of Cristiano left.

Ronaldo has scored 699 goals across all competitions, and a total of 816 goals throughout his senior career, winning 31 major trophies.
