Following the release, today, of Makerere University admission lists for undergraduate private scheme, the office of the academic registrar has that effect released the cut-off points for the academic programmes offered at the institution.
These (cut-off) also known as ‘weights’ are arrived at as a result of consideration of so many factors including the general UACE performance of the students in that particular year and the number of applications received per course.
The AR at Makerere then draws a line on the number of applicants that can be received on particular academic programmes.
Cut offs, many a time, help those who may need to appeal in the event that they miss out on admissions or even courses. The cut offs serve as a basis.
