Job Summary: The Transaction Support Staff will take due diligence in engagements related to transactions involving private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers. The incumbent will prepare analyses of historical and pro-forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation. He / she will work effectively as a team member by demonstrating your commitment to quality, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information
  • Actively participate and assist in preparing for meetings with target management teams
  • Render support in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
  • Actively contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting and retaining Transaction Support professionals
  • Maintain an educational program to develop personal skills on an ongoing basis
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
  • Build and foster strong internal relationships with members of the Transaction Support team and other Ernst & Young services

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate should hold an academic record including, a degree in Finance BBA, BCOM
  • Master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • Professional accounting qualification like ACCA or CPA certification is an added advantage
  • Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal abilities
  • Possess the ability to work well within a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
