Job Title: Demand Planner

Century Bottling Company is a franchise bottler and proud distributor of Coca-Cola products in Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Development and maintenance of long term strategic forecast in line with company strategy.
  • Develop and maintain accurate 24 month rolling estimate forecast in line with company strategy and within agreed upon change parameters
  • The incumbent will be required to review and maintain 13week forecast.
  • Obtain marketing intelligence information from sales and marketing.
  • Review all sales history, actualize sales history to ensure accuracy on future forecasts. Monitor weekly exception reports by category, conduct root cause analysis and develop model enhancements and/or parameter optimization.
  • Also, he/she will also review and maintain product classifications such that exceptions reporting is consistent and accurate.
  • Model and manage new and discontinued items.
  • Steer the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process with cross-functional partners in Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply planning to reach a consensus plan. Review inventory levels daily to ensure optimum inventory.
  • Review and continuous improvement in process and KPIs through training and development.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate who desires to join the Coca-Cola franchise must possess a good Degree in Business Studies with a bias in statistics or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in business analytics.
  • Proven quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Possess a good understanding of data, statistical forecasting techniques and software, products and markets.
  • Demonstrated good communication skills and leadership within cross-functional teams.
  • Highly self-motivated individual who continuously looks for improvement opportunities
  • Highy structured but also open to ideas, creatively solve problems and take ownership of problems and resolution
