The statement further adds that due to the outbreak of COVID-19, all Kyambogo aspiring leaders are advised to hold their campaigns scientifically through social media and television but voting will be conducted physically by secret ballot.
Elections will be conducted within the first three weeks starting on 1st March.
The University Council Chairperson Dr. Marry Gorreti Nakabugo, said “the university will reopen for continuing students on 1st March 2021, it would be prudent that any remaining electoral activity for electing guild leaders is conducted and completed within the first three weeks when students are having lectures and the exercise shouldn’t cross over to the examination period.”
Kyambogo University first year students will not be able to vote for their leaders following the university’s communication that they should report on campus on 10th April.
