List of Students with First Class at Makerere University 75th Graduation 2025

Makerere University is set to hold its 75th Graduation Ceremony at Freedom Square from Monday, January 13, to Friday, January 17, 2025. This milestone event will see thousands of graduates receive their academic accolades, marking years of dedication and hard work.

This year, the university will confer 143 PhDs, 1,813 master’s degrees, 243 postgraduate diplomas, 11,455 undergraduate degrees, and eight undergraduate diplomas across all colleges. Notably, female graduates outnumber males in the undergraduate and master’s categories.

Among the graduates, Abdul Latif Umar Bagoole has been named the best overall and top student in the Humanities, achieving a stellar CGPA of 4.97 in the Bachelor of Leisure and Hospitality Management.

In the Sciences, Mubiru Enock Joel emerged as the top performer, attaining a CGPA of 4.91 in the Bachelor of Science.

The ceremony will also spotlight students who attained First-Class honors in their respective programs, showcasing the university’s commitment to academic excellence.
