Makerere University has released the admission lists for students admitted under the Disability and District Quota Schemes on government sponsorship for the 2025/26 academic year.

The announcement was made by the Office of the Academic Registrar, confirming that the admissions cover candidates selected through both schemes. The Disability Scheme list is complete, while the District Quota Scheme list remains subject to verification by respective districts.

The two schemes are part of the government’s affirmative action initiatives aimed at expanding access to higher education for marginalized groups and ensuring regional balance in university enrollment.

Students admitted under these schemes will pursue various academic programs across the university when the new academic year commences.

Makerere University urged successful applicants to prepare for reporting and orientation schedules, which will be communicated in due course.
