A team of inspectors from the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE) led by Dr. Innocent Besigye visited and inspected Gulu University about its readiness to reopen.
NCHE inspected both the teaching space and the accommodation facilities to ascertain the institutions readiness to host the long relaxed students.
This came after the presidential directive to reopen schools for final year students during his address to the nation on 20th September 2020.
Items ascertained present were not limited to fabric masks, liquid soap, hand washing materials and stretchers. The lecture halls had chairs stretched 2 meters apart and more than 2 meters between each other, adequate as the regulations set by the Ministry of Health in the long struggle to control the spread of COVID-19.
