Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has officially installed H.E. Nabwire Rose as the 28th Guild President, succeeding H.E. Moses Amanya, whose term came to an end this month.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on May 21, 2025, at Silver Springs Hotel, attracting members of the university’s top management and student leadership. The event marked a smooth transition in MUBS’ student governance.

In her inaugural address, Nabwire pledged to serve the entire student body.
“I am committed to leading with integrity, transparency, and inclusivity,” she said.
Speaking at the event, Prof. Moses Muhwezi, the Principal of MUBS and guest of honor, commended the outgoing president for his contribution and advised the incoming guild leaders to be exemplary.
“As student leaders, you must exhibit higher levels of maturity and responsibility than the rest of the students. You must perceive the world objectively,” Prof. Muhwezi urged.
He also praised H.E. Moses Amanya for his dedication and lasting impact during his tenure.

“Your remarkable leadership has left an indelible mark. We appreciate your tireless efforts and wish you continued success,” Prof. Muhwezi said.

The ceremony reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to nurturing leadership, with the new guild cabinet expected to advance student interests and uphold the university’s values.
