Safaree became a hot topic after seemingly offering Cassie advice amid her testimony in Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial. The ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star recently shared what he thinks her next chapter should be, but his comments sparked quite a reaction from social media and the Roomies.

Safaree Tells Cassie To Take The Bag And Dip

On Friday, May 16, Safaree took to X (formerly known as Twitter) with some unsolicited advice, telling Cassie to take her $10 million settlement from that 2016 hotel assault and move to an island where nobody knew her.

“If I was Cassie I’d take that money leave America and live a peaceful life on an island where nobody would know me!” he tweeted. “10 mil can last a lifetime if you live normal!”

That same day, Cassie revealed in court that she secured $10M from the InterContinental hotel in LA for their role in Diddy’s hallway attack on her. The incident was caught on surveillance camera but never reported to authorities, leading to a hefty payout, according to Variety.

Note that Cassie, per CBS News, received a separate $20M from Diddy when she sued him in 2023 on top of the $10M settlement from the hotel.

Safaree Also Had Some Words For Cassie’s Husband, Alex Fine

Additionally, Safaree had to throw in his two cents about Cassie’s significant other, Alex Fine, who’d been holding her down at the New York courthouse since the start. While there’d be a lot of online chatter from people deeming Alex a strong man for being able to sit through Cassie’s graphic testimony, Safaree saw things a little differently.

The father of two claimed he wouldn’t care about Cassie revealing her  “freak-off” experiences in the courtroom. Why? Because what she accused Diddy of doing went down before Alex even started seeing the singer. But after hearing Cassie’s testimony, Safaree did feel that Alex now needed to “turn up” his freak.

“If I was Cassie husband I wouldn’t care bout nothing she saying either because it was all b4 me.. I would just know I need to turn my freak up a million knotches,” he tweeted.

Safaree’s comments came shortly before Alex released a statement as Cassie wrapped her fourth and final day of sharing her testimony. In the statement, shared by Cassie’s attorney, Doug Wigdor, the personal trainer credited his heavily pregnant wife for her courage as she came face to face with the man she’s accusing of rape.

“I have felt tremendous pride and overwhelming love for Cass,” he said. “I have felt profound anger that she has been subjected to sitting in front of a person who tried to break her. So, to him and all of those who helped him along the way, please know this: You did not. You did not break her spirit nor her smile that lights up every room.

Alex also criticized claims that he had “saved” Cassie, which he regards as an “insult” to all the work she’s put in over the years to overcome her trauma. “Cassie saved Cassie,” he added. “She alone broke free from abuse, coercion, violence and threats. She did the work of fighting the demons that only a demon himself could have done to her.”
