Twenty three(23) journalism students at Kampala International University participated in the Multimedia Journalism and Digital safety training that was conducted by Ultimate Multimedia.

Isaac Akuzibwe received best multimedia story award.

The two weeks training took place from 29th October to November 8, 2019 in the Department of Mass communication and in the last week, participants pitched their stories to a panel of judges.

Twenty(20) best stories made it to the finals and received facilitation to be completed were later published and presented.

Out of the 20, two stories developed by Faiza Salima and Akuguzibwe Isaac won smartphones and tripod stands to enable them further their multimedia experiences.

Two best social media influences, Keitesi Ruth and Derrick Asaba received power-banks as a reward for their extended efforts in tweeting about the training making the #MyMultimediaStoryTelling harshtag to trend.

The workshop was part of the University trainings sponsored by the US Mission that targets atleast 60 students well equipped with multimedia skills.
