It’s every one’s dream to be admitted to his/her  dream course at University though this depends on a number of factors like fees structure, cut-off points, parents’ demand, easy of access to a job at the end of the course among other things.

But besides all these factors, let us look at the cut-off points for Makerere university courses under the private sponsorship scheme for the academic year 2017/2018.

In this story, we highlight the top 25 courses that had the highest cut-off points at Makerere University under the private sponsorship scheme for the academic year 2017/2018.

According to data from the academic registrar’s office at Makerere University, our analysis shows that Bachelor of Journalism and Communication (Day) had the highest cut off points standing at 44.0.

This was followed by Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Afternoon) that was at 42.7 points.

Bachelor of Social Work & Social Administration was third with 42.6 points while Bachelor of Architecture (Day) 42.1 and Bachelor of Journalism and Communication (evening) were each at 42.1 points.

On private sponsorship, one needed to have obtained 40.7 points and above to be admitted for the Bachelor of Pharmacy at Makerere University.

Below is the list of the top 25 courses that had the highest cut off points under the private sponsorship scheme at Makerere University in the academic year 2017/2018.
