UCU’s Professor, Monica.B.Chibita Appointed to UK based Journalism Editorial Board

Ugandan Journalism professor, Monica.B.Chibita has been appointed to UK based Journalism Studies Editorial Board, and is the only black female appointee.

Monica Balya Chibita is a Ugandan media professional, academic and academic administrator, who serves as Professor & Dean, Faculty of Journalism, Media and Communication at Uganda Christian University.

The Uganda Christian University professor joins a list of 14 other new members appointed to the editorial board, based at universities in all corners of the globe and have expertise in the field of Journalism.

This development now brings the total number of females on the Board to 38, exactly even with that of the male members which is 38.

Journalism Studies brings together teachers, researchers and journalists from around the world to provide a critical forum for the study of journalism as a subject focus for intellectual and scholarly inquiry as an arena of professional practice.

The editorial board and contributors reflects the global academic community and the journal is devoted to the analysis, scrutiny and development of all aspects of journalism education and studies. Journalism Studies explores the widest possible range of media within which journalism is conducted; radio, newspapers, magazines, television, multimedia and new technologies.
