Uganda Christian University Law students at the dinner

Uganda Christian University (UCU) Law students held their annual Law Dinner at Imperial Royal Hotel on Saturday 15th.

At the exquisite event, glamor ruled the night as both ladies and gents flashed off the current trends in the fashion industry.

Emotions raged high as the students bid farewell to their Dean who is leaving to serve as a Director of Quality Assurance at NCHE.

At the same time we had Maurice Muhumuza and his team hand over the mantle of leadership of the Law Society to Ojakol Ivan and the new executive .

Recognition was given to outstanding personalities and Awards to the most outstanding.
Those recognised in the Gents category were;
1. Agaba Arnold- Former Chairperson of the tribunal
2. Kasozi Kennedy- Former President os Save a buddy
3.@Byamukama Andrew- Former Chairperson of the Law Society Electoral Commission

The award for most outstanding Law Student among the gents went to Kajubi Brian- Former Guild Speaker and Chairperson of the UCULS Constitutional Review Commission.

Those recognised in the Ladies category were;
1. Gay Karitani
2. Namala Deborah
3. Samalie Nakawombe

The award for the most outstanding Law Student among the Ladies went to Gladys Teesa Namata- former Secretary of the Tribunal and mama Law fellowship.

The award for the most outstanding Alumnus of the year went toBazira Bazira Anthony.

The Award for the most outstanding lecturer went to Brian Dennison

The award of most outstanding and inspiring lawyer went to David Mpanga

To the Dean; we shall dearly miss you, to Maurice and Co; thank you for a reign filled with greatness and to Brian Dennison; like the Nigerians say, the shoe fits- perfectly well. Ojakol Ivan, lets make limits an illusion, in you we trust.

In attendance were; the DPP Justice Mike Chibita and the Deputy Minister of Justice & Constitutional affairs and at the same time Deputy Attorney General- Fred Ruhindi, lecturers, alumni and well wishers.
