Uganda Martyrs University Appoints KIU’s  Prof.Patrick Kyamanywa  as New Vice-Chancellor

Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) has appointed Kampala International University(KIU)’s former  Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Patrick Edrin Kyamanywa , as the new University Vice-Chancellor.

Prof. Kyamanywa will report at UMU on the 1st of December, 2021.  The Acting Vice-Chancellor Rev. Dr. Christopher B. Mukidi will hand over the office to him on the 7th of December, 2021.

Patrick was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the Kampala International University – Western Campus. Prior to that, he served as the Executive Director – University Teaching Hospital and Dean, School of Medicine and Dentistry at the same institution. 

Who is Prof.Patrick Edrin Kyamanywa?

Prof.Patrick is an experienced Professor Of Surgery with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Skilled in medical education, Leading Innovation and change especially in higher education institutions, Partner Relationship Management, Global Health, Healthcare, and GI endoscopy.

Prof.Patrick Edrin Kyamanywa

Kyamanywa has Strong educational and business development professional with a PgCert. Academic Practice focused on Higher Education and completing an MBA from York St. John University, UK.

Meanwhile, the Uganda Episcopal Conference has joined the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Affairs and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Finance and Administration positions into one position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academics, Finance and Administration. 

The University made a number of changes in the administration as shown below;

The new Deputy Vice-Chancellor appointed is Rev. Dr. Christopher B. Mukidi.  

The Acting Registrar appointed is Ms. Audes Tiragana.

The Chief Finance Officer appointed is Mr. Silvanus Ahaisibwe.
