UTAMU will have its undergraduate and postgraduate students graduating on that day with degrees and diplomas.

In June this year, UTAMU extended the chancellorship of Kalonzo for another four years. The party leader of Wiper Democratic Movement of Kenya has been the Chancellor of UTAMU since his appointment on 10th June 2013. He is expected to arrive in the country on Thursday, 28th September 2017 ahead of the graduation.

More than 150 students are expected to graduate with Masters Degrees, Post-graduate Diplomas, Bachelor’s degrees and Undergraduate diplomas in various disciplines.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Benon Basheka commends the academic management, staff, technicians, coordinators and administrators for investing their effort and knowledge to see the university grow and mark a major milestone.

In only five years of operation, UTAMU is already at a level of competing favorably with older universities. UTAMU has grown from five (5) academic programmes to 42 programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The number of students has grown tremendously as well as the staff numbers both academic and administrative staff.

The university has over 1800 students at various levels. With the last graduation held on 30th September 2016, UTAMU now has a good and quality team of more than 270 alumni raising the UTAMU flag in the field.

This is attributed to the unique and innovative teaching and learning models, highly qualified faculty and strategic partnerships with key institutions at national and international levels.

UTAMU is one of the private universities in Uganda and undoubtedly growing to be one of the best universities in the region.
