Lubega Vincent Nsamba, the 90th Guild elect of Makerere University
Lubega Vincent Nsamba has been declared the 90th Guild President of Makerere University. He won with 2,540 votes. Voting was done online on Thursday 7th March 2024.
Lubega beat 15 other candidates in the race. He won with a margin of only four votes.
Edmond Ariho, his closest contender was second with 2,536 votes.
Kasekende Fulungensio was third with 1,674 votes while Simon Wandukwa became fourth with 1,039 votes.

Nsamba’s motivating campaign strategy played a great role towards his victory.
It is said that Nsamba’s close association with National Unity Platform (NUP) Party headed by Bobi Wine (Robert Kyagulanyi) was a good plan. NUP is the leading opposition political party in Uganda.
