African Rural University’s Dr. Mwalimu Musheshe commended for promoting Girl child education

The Founder of African Rural University Dr. Mwalimu Musheshe has been praised by the Woman MP for Kagadi District Hon. Jenifer Kyomuhendo for promoting Girl child education in greater Kibaale, Bunyoro and Uganda at large.

Dr. Musheshe is also the C.E.O of Uganda Rural Development and Training Programme (URDT)

Hon. Jenifer Kyomuhendo was speaking at the 2017 Peace Marathon and Walk for greater Kibaale District where she was the Chief Walker.

The marathon was organized by URDT in partnership with Kibaale District Civil Society Organisations Network (KCSON) and other Non Governmental Organizations.

MP Kyomuhendo says the government is proud of the commendable work that URDT is doing in supporting and promoting girl child education especially through the URDT Girls School and the African Rural University for women which is training Rural Transformation Specialists.

She also urged girls to stay in school if they want to have a bright future for themselves, Bunyoro region and Uganda

The MP for Buyaga East constituency who was the chief runner Hon. Musana Eric said that peace begins with the individual and radiates outwards up to the nation.

Hon. Musana pointed out that peace a principle that overrides the rest when it comes to development because there is nothing and individual can do if he/she is not peaceful.

“Being peaceful means you are food secure, healthy, you are in good terms with neighbors and others are in good terms with you” says He said.
