AC Milan Football Club have confirmed the contract extension of its Swedish forward player, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Serie A Champions made the official announcement on its website on Monday, July 18th, 2022. According to reports from the club, Ibrahimovic signed a one-year deal which will keep him with the San-Siro club until the summer of 2023.
Ibrahimovic is suffering from a knee ligament which is expected to keep him out for the rest of the year. The player made a revelation when the injury was announced that he played football for six months without an ACL in his left knee.
He was able to score eight goals in 23 league games last season despite suffering the injury. The 41-year-old also played his part as AC Milan won its first Scudetto title since 2011.
