JOB DETAILS: 
UGANET is a registered, non-for profit, social Justice and law organization that champions human rights, and gender equality work in the context of HIV/AIDS and Health. UGANET with support from TASO is seeking to recruit vibrant, competent and committed individuals to fill vacant positions for Communications specialist, Communications officer and Legal Officer
Position: Communications Officer (1) 
Location: Kampala
Duration: 18 Months with a possibility to renew. .

JOB PROFILE 
• Assumes primary responsibility for planning,
• developing and implementing communication strategies to promote,
• manage and improve all our communications flows,
• within and outside of our organization.
• Be responsible for disseminating information and create awareness about UGANET programs and activitiess.

Skills: 
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Knowledge of other languages is an added advantage.
• He/she should have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, excel and publisher

QUALIFICATIONS: 
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public relations or a related field
• At least two years working experience in running advocacy campaigns on health HIV and gender in a reputable organization.
• Demonstrated and extensive social media experience is an added advantage.
• Candidates should be able to work independently with minimum supervision and guidance from the supervisor

Job Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Communications
