Uganda Cranes vice-captain Hassan Wasswa Mawanda has agreed a deal with Saudi Arabia based club Al-Ittihad Jeddah, according to reports.Hassan has been a free agent having left Egyptian top tier outfit Tala’ea El Gaish Sports Club.
As reported by Kawowo Sports, Mawanda left the country (Uganda) on Monday, August 12, 2019 for Jeddah to sign a contract with Al-Ittihad Jeddah.
While at Entebbe International Airport, he was escorted by his brother Hudson Pachoto and wife Ronah Bukirwa.
“its is time to work. I am happy to have got a new job in saudi arabia. Every time, i get to play football for club and the uganda cranes, i do it with one heart. Football is my job”, the versatile midfielder told kawowo sports on Monday.
The 31 year old plays as a midfielder but also all positions at the back line. Hassan has played for a vast of clubs including KCCA, Sports Club Villa and Vipers Sports Club both in Uganda.
