Job Title: Behavior Change Specialist/Technical Advisor I

Job Summary: The Behavior Change Specialist/Technical Advisor I will have overall responsibility for technical direction and implementation of behavior change and communication activities, ensuring overall program activities achieve measurable health impacts and related results. She/he will work closely with the COP and the Project’s technical staff, other stakeholders, advertising and media related organizations and the community to ensure effective formative development, planning, delivery and documentation of the water and sanitation social and behavior change strategy. She/he must demonstrate exceptional technical and managerial experience, including managing complex rural and urban WASH behavior change activities involving multiple program partners.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The candidate should hold MPH, MBA or engineering field (civil or environmental)
  • At least 5-8 years of experience providing technical leadership in hygiene behavior change and communication, both for water supply and sanitation activities.
  • Past experience in coordination, planning, monitoring large scale public health initiatives with government
  • Subject-matter expertise in hygiene promotion, behavior change communication (BCC), and local capacity building.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of CLTS and WASH methodologies
