Kampala International University Passes out 2,415 at the 17th Graduation Ceremony

A graduate at the 17th Graduation Ceremony of Kampala International University

A total of 2,415 graduates received degrees, Diplomas and Certificates in different academic courses at the 17th graduation ceremony of Kampala International University.

This was at a function held on Saturday 18 November 2017 at the university’s main campus in Kansaga.

According to the Graduation List, 56% got undergraduates degrees while 4% graduated with postgraduate degrees. Those who were awarded certificates and diplomas were 31%.

Thirty two (32) students obtained first class.

In a bid to improve the academic standards at Kampala International University, Hajji Hassan Basajjabalaba, the Chairperson Board of Trustees said that the university got an offer of 107 academic staff from the Government of Nigeria.

“Twenty three (23) of the staff are full professors with PhDs, about 34 are Associate professors and the rest are senior lecturers”, Basajjabalaba said.

The high commissioner of the federal republic of Nigeria in Uganda, AMB Cornelius O. Oluwateru who was the Chief Guest,  encouraged graduates to work for the betterment of their communities.

“… I appeal to you that in your different communities that where there is inequality, endeavour to work for equality, and where there is injustice, endeavour to work for justice”,.
