Kyambogo university students striking.

Kyambogo University students are on strike.  Anti-riot police have resorted to using teargas and live bullets to disperse the striking students.

Students are protesting against the staff’s resolution of not returning to work until the Vice Chancellor, Prof Isaiah Ndiege leaves office.
The teaching and non-teaching staff of Kyambogo university went on strike two week ago after the university council re-authorized Prof. Ndiege as the Vice Chancellor following the recent court ruling.
