Job Summary: Avolio Industries Limited is seeking for a hard working Machine Operator who is dexterous and able to work efficiently with different machines. As our workforce grows, we need an experienced & diligent Machine Operator to be at the helm!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Operate production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications.
• Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Maintain logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment
• Communicate with management regarding any issues or concerns related to job duties or plant operations.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
• Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations at all times while performing job duties
• Follow instructions from supervisors/managers during shift changes and emergencies.
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the High Authority of the company.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Professional

• The ideal applicant must be a fresh graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree of science in Industrial Engineering
• Know how to increase output and fix errors.
• Very good numeracy skills.
• Can work well within a team environment where people work in interlocking roles.
• Ability to quickly read engineering drawings.
• Flexibility to move between departments.
• Using measuring equipment for data collection and machine setting.
• Understanding the functions and basic mechanical workings of assigned machines under limited supervision.
• Ability to work with light to medium machinery.
• Excellent mechanical ability
• Carrying out quality audit checks.
• Ability to operate more than one machine as and when required.
• Good knowledge of laser machine processes and safe practice.

Personal

• Using own initiative to find solutions when things are not going right.
• Physically fit and able to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Motivated with a “can do” attitude.
• Reasonable physical fitness, for the purposes of manually loading the machines.
