The Guild President of Nkumba University, Madinah Zalwango has given out 3 flat television screens to three hostels. Students will now comfortably watch agataliko nfufu and premier league and the girls will no longer miss watching popular soaps.
The hostels that received the screens included Mugejera boys’ hostel, Empire and Mature hostel for girls. Each TV screen cost about 1.3 million shillings.
Madinah also donated sports equipment worth 3.5 million shilling to the different sports men and women. “I believe in serving the students and we have distributed 12 pairs of shoes to each of the six sports teams at Nkumba University”, the guild president said.
She added that her government is still doing more despite the challenges faced. “Our next funds will be resorted to health and students should expect something big to come”, Madinah Zalwango revealed.
Nkumba University Guild Vice President, Mutebi Paul Tusiime commended the president and the government for being able to achieve what they promised students in their manifesto.
