Job Title: Marketing Officer

Posta Uganda a wholly-owned government company is a leading provider of a wide range of postal, logistical, IT, and financial services in Uganda, with international links to all major postal administrations world-wide.

Job Summary: The Marketing Officer will render support in the development of Posta Uganda; its’ products and services through marketing, developing new products to cater for consumer demand, conducting market research and analysis and report thereon, while liaising with all business units.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Supporting and managing new & existing clients;
In charge of new client acquisition;
Conducting door to door visits;
Targeting corporates;
Getting referrals for lead generation;
Ensuring retention of acquired clients;
Carrying out market research and analysis;
Identifying business opportunities;
Growing the business of the company as per assigned targets;
Carrying out corporate presentations on an on-going basis;
Carry out any other duties assigned to you from time to time within the Company framework.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate should hold a good Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business field from a recognized institution
At least two years’ experience in a similar field from a reputable organization
Any specialised qualifications in marketing will be added advantage
The applicant should be very industrious and committed;
Possess good self discipline and self drive;
Possess impeccably high levels of integrity/honesty
Ability to research, analyze and interpret information;
Be highly creative, initiative and possess strategic thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Good organizational, planning and coordination skills;
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
Good working knowledge of commercial areas in and around Kampala, and upcountry business hubs
