Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) and Mbarara Hospital held a five–day free fistula camp from 20th to 24th February 2023.
The camp was aimed to extend free surgeries to people with gynaecological disorders from Mbarara and the neighboring districts.
The Fistula camp was funded by MedLend and Cook Biotech from San Francisco in the United States of America to ensure that people with gynaecological disorders access special treatment at no cost.
Dr. Margolis Michael of Medlend was the camp’s team leader. He came with a team of 10 medical experts from USA to assist Ugandan gynecologists led by Dr. Kayondo Musa from the Obstetric and Gynacology department of MUST.
