Stores Manager job opportunity at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya

Job Title: Stores Manager

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Update and maintain adequate stock supplies and inventory
Responsible for the organization of the stores
Ensure safe storage of items in conformity with accepted standards of Stores Management.
Monitor and ensure issuance of correct quantities to appropriate destinations.
Ensure full understanding, strict adherence to and implementation of stores procedures.
Ensure that all stores movements are properly authenticated and correctly recorded.
In charge of monitoring of all items with special attention to obsolete / slow moving stock items.
Compile and submit reports and keep stores record updated
Responsible for a team of stores staff and preparation of work schedules.
Ensure safe working procedures are followed.
Responsible for the management and control of access to stores and maintain security controls

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate should preferably hold a degree in stores and / materials management
A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position in a busy organization.
Computer literacy a must.
