Rwanda Premier League side Sunrise Football Club has signed Ugandan midfielder Pius Wangi, according to reports.
Wangi follows former Uganda Cranes assistant coach Moses Basena who recently joined Sunrise Football Club as the manager on a two year contract.
Wangi who was a free agent after his contract with SC Villa Football Club has reportedly signed a two year contract after agreeing terms.
The former Vipers midfielder scored six goals for Sports Club Villa before his contract ended. Sulaiman Majanjaalo is also expected to join him since he was given a chance to train with the Rwandan based club.
Majanjalo previously played at Entebbe, Baza Holdings (defunct), Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) and lately Sports Club Villa.
Sunrise Football Club completed the season with 34 points, one slot above the relegation zone.
