Everything you do and organize is based on communication, so it is important to understand the different methods of communication and your client’s needs. For example, some clients will prefer face to face meetings with you, however, others might prefer phone calls and emails. It’s up to you to reach out and discuss this with your clients, so you can maintain professionalism and efficiency.

Time management:

When you are working both on-site and off-site it can be easy to forget time management as a skill that you need to have. Things happen, and you can get wound up with other clients or connections. It is, however, essential that you maintain your best time efficiency when organizing meetings and open houses. If you don’t show up on time, and cancel meetings due to tardiness, not only will your agency be unhappy, but so will your potential clients. Make sure you aren’t late to meetings and schedule your day effectively to prevent the clashing of clients.

Negotiation:

Professional development:

Whether you have been in the industry for 10 months or 10 years, it is always important to make sure that you keep on learning. Times are changing, and so is the real estate industry! Make sure you are up to date with policies and regulations, new techniques and systems, so that you can ensure you have the best knowledge to give back to your clients and agency.

Honesty:

Honest and integrity are a big part of working as a real estate agent.
