About 1,100 law students are sitting pre-entry examination of the Law Development Centre (LDC) today. Those who will pass the exams will be allowed to pursue the post graduate law diploma bar course at LDC.
The post graduate law diploma qualifies law students to practice in the courts of law as advocates.
To qualify for the bar course, the students will be required to pass written examinations in law courses that include; Legal Methods, Constitutional Law, Torts, Criminal Law, Law of Contract, Evidence and Criminal and Civil Procedure.
The pre-entry examinations of Law Development Centre are being conducted at UMA hall Lugogo.
Last year, a total of 1,095 lawyers sat the pre-entry exams but only 405 passed.
