Apply for Akron Bar Foundation Scholarship for Law Students

Scholarships: Akron Bar Foundation is offering Law scholarships to US students for attending a law school in Ohio. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of grade point average, affiliation with Summit County, history of community involvement and financial need.

This year the Foundation granted $27,300 in scholarships to seven law school students. Qualified applicants will be contacted to arrange for an interview, which will take place in April. The application deadline is April 5, 2014.

How to Apply: Applicants should apply by post. In order for your application to be considered, you must submit the following typed information:
– An updated resume.
– A completed, typed application.
– A certified transcript from your school(s). Request your transcript well in advance.
– Transcripts must be mailed directly to the Foundation by your school.
– Two letters of recommendation from people who are familiar with your character. No relatives please. Request your letters of recommendation well in advance.
– Recommendations must be mailed directly to the Foundation by the writer.
– A FERPA release form from your school so we may request an academic and disciplinary check after the interview
