About US:

Mukono District Service Commission seeks to recruit new staff to help bolster its vision of being a prosperous Municipality for all and providing quality services within local and national priorities for improved standard of living of Mukono Municipal council.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be in charge of staff welfare management for Local Governments;
Responsible for the planning and organising of manpower resource through recruitment, deployment, training, utilisation and discharge as per schedule;
Providing technical advice to the Council and technical Departments on matters related to Human Resource Management issues;
Actively monitoring staff performance through staff Appraisal exercise to ensure quality service delivery;
Preparing Human Resource Management work plans, budgets and performance reports as instructed by the supervisor;
Interpreting the Human Resource policies, rules, regulations and procedures;
Offering technical support to the Management of the payroll of the Local Governments;
Compiling, reviewing and keeping custody of the staff lists and related personnel records.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The Human Resource Officer should hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and social Administration (SWASA) or Human Resources Management or Social Sciences (with Personnel/Human Resource Management as an option) or Management Science or Business Administration (Management) or Arts (with Personnel/Human Resource Management as an option) from a recognized University.
Skills in Human Resource Management;
Good counselling skills;
High ethical standards and integrity;
Excellent communication skills;
Good time management skills

Age: 25-45 years
