Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) president Cindy Sanyu has commended Spice Diana for standing up for herself after Promoter Mutima Nkuke delayed clearing her balance for a show in Masaka.
Spice Diana publicly embarrassed Mutima on stage and informed revellers how she had not been paid.
According to Cindy, most Promoters do not respect artists.
“I think Spice Diana demonstrated kindness by going on stage to perform. If it were me, I wouldn’t. I don’t step on stage Until I get my full amount agreed,” Cindy explained.
“Promoters need to stop disrespecting us. We invest a lot to make appearances,” she added.
It should be noted that Mutiima apologized to Spice Diana and promised to do better.
