The Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild (HSCG) and The Coalition for Handcrafted Entrepreneurs (COHE) need your help with their Advocacy Efforts in the United States. They have been monitoring all legislation that could effect the handcrafted soap, cosmetic and candle industry for the last twelve years.

They are asking for handcrafted cosmetic and soap entrepreneurs to take a very short, 7-minute anonymous survey that will give them the information that they need to plan their advocacy efforts for 2021 and beyond.

Currently, Congress is seeking to update the over 80 year old cosmetic law in the United States, The Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act of 1938. In doing so, they are looking heavily at the larger cosmetic industry, companies that make millions, if not billions, of dollars in annual gross sales. Our industry has been swept up in this effort and would be very adversely affected if not for their lobbying efforts on your behalf. Members of Congress need to be told that you are out there and what impact this would have on you, your business and your family if legislation was passed without due consideration.

The HSCG and COHE are against any legislation that does not contain adequate small business provisions and protections. They actively meet with Members of Congress to educate them about this wonderful industry and all of the people, products and businesses that make it up.

Both organizations are under contract with a professional DC Advocate (Lobbyist) to assist us with their efforts. With their guidance the HSCG and COHE have been able to affect real change to proposed bills, add in or alter small business provisions and we were even asked to testify before Congress last year at a Hearing on Cosmetic Safety in the United States.

Your responses to the brief survey will give them a clearer picture of the industry overall.

Please let your voice be heard and complete the brief survey:

According to a recent Reuters article, the onset of the coronavirus pandemic saw a sharp worldwide surge in home gardening, with the demand for vegetable and fruit seeds hitting an all-time high. Now as the world begins to reopen, others will be just as eager to get back outside and enjoy all their favorite outdoor hobbies. However, these activities can leave hands dirty, rough, and in need of restorative care.  We’ve formulated this skin care duo to serve as inspiration for your new product development. Our Gardener’s Foaming Hand Scrub helps lift dirt out of cracks and crevices. Our Gardener’s Hand & Cuticle Balm then restores moisture and leaves hands feeling soft and smooth. Both formulations require minimal preparation and production time. They can be easily adapted to small and large batch sizes, and readily modified. Shelf Life & Stability The formulations featured on The Natural Beauty Workshop have not been challenge tested for stability or for the confirmation of their shelf life. The finished products may not be suitable for commercial sale without modification or inclusion of a preservative system. For more information about shelf life, product stability, and working with preservatives, please refer to our following article from our Information Library.   Gardener’s Foaming Hand Scrub Our first formulation owes its bubbly cleansing power to our gentle Liquid Castile Soap Base, made with emollient organic jojoba and healing aloe vera. We enhanced the moisturizing properties by adding two of our favorite certified organic skin care ingredients: Organic Virgin Coconut Oil and Organic Olive Oil. Both oils help to moisturize and soften rough skin. We built upon the scrub’s foundation by incorporating Nilotica Shea Butter and Murumuru Butter. Both butters feature a desirable, semi-soft consistency. They are also rich in beneficial saturated fatty acids that help protect overworked skin. Turbinado Sugar and Walnut Shell Powder add mild exfoliation while lending a natural earthy color to this scrub. Our vibrant Jojoba Wax Beads help with additional buffing, and they add a pop of color to the finished product. Finally, we scented our scrub with a warm, uplifting blend of Organic Sweet Orange and Fresh, Sweet Ginger Essential Oils. This formulation can be easily adapted to meet your clients’ fragrance needs by substituting any of our Essential Oils, CO2 Extracts, Plant-Based Fragrance Oils or Fragrance Oils. Our Mango Butter is an especially creamy and velvety butter that absorbs well and leaves the skin looking and feeling hydrated. Cocoa Butter is a favored natural emollient that has been used to help soothe and moisturize skin for generations. We chose Deodorized Cocoa Butter for this formulation. However, you can modify the aromatic profile of your final product by substituting it with our Organic Pure Prime Pressed Cocoa Butter instead. Our Organic Tigernut Oil is an emollient and highly penetrating oil with a desirable texture. Both our Organic Tigernut Oil and Vitamin E 400 IU Oil  boasts a significant level of tocopherols that can help to support and protect the skin. The Gardener’s Hand & Cuticle Balm owes its naturally golden honey hue to Organic Natural Beeswax Pastilles and to the carotene content of Helio Carrot Root CO2 Total Extract. This extract’s subtly sweet aroma lends a complementary heart note to the herbaceous, fresh blend of Organic Lavender and Tangerine Essentials Oils. A moisturizing blend of sweet, nutty Brazil Nut Oil and creamy Organic Nilotica Shea Butter is the foundation of this balm. These lipids lend an important fatty acid profile that includes Omega 6 and Omega 9; making them effective choices for body care formulations targeting problematic, damaged skin and hair. The combination of vibrant, exotic Jasmine Grandiflorum Floral Wax and warm, enticing Organic Vanilla CO2 Extract 26% gives our Vanilla Jasmine Body Balm an exquisite, complex aromatic profile. Quick and Easy Whipped Body Butter: A simple, efficient method to formulate fluffy, silky whipped body butter. Whipped body butters are growing in popularity with customers eager to pamper and moisturize their skin. The process of whipping body butters makes them light and fluffy, and they feel luxurious when applied to thirsty skin. The challenge for artisans, however, is that they can be time consuming and difficult to prepare.   Our Quick and Easy Whipped Body Butter formulation is versatile and eliminates much of the difficulty in creating an array of impressive, quality whipped body butters that will keep your customers coming back for more. By using these carefully mastered instructions and our recommended tips, you will be able to create your own product line of whipped body butters. Virtually all of our premium quality Vegetable Butters, Carrier Oils, Cosmetic Fragrance Oils, Essential Oils, and CO2 Extracts can be considered for inclusion in your whipped body butter, giving you extensive versatility in your creations. We chose aromatic, decadent Mochacchino Butter and nourishing Organic Pumpkin Seed Oil as the foundation for our whipped body butter. The addition of Arrowroot Powder helps to reduce the slick oily feel that is common with body butter formulations. The earthy, warm scent of our Vanilla Spice Plant-Based Fragrance Oil rounds out the comforting aroma of the finished product. Base Formulation 70% Medium-hard butter (cocoa butter will be too hard for this formulation) 25% Liquid oil 4% Powdered starch or silk powder 1% Aromatic Our Test Batch – Makes one 4 wt oz 79 gr Mochaccino Butter 28 gr Organic Pumpkin Seed Oil 5 gr Arrowroot Powder 1 gr Vanilla Spice Plant-Based Fragrance Oil Directions 1. Scoop or break up the butter (as needed) and place it in the bowl. 2. Start your mixer on medium speed and let the butter soften up for about five minutes. 3. Reduce the speed to low and add the liquid oil, aromatic, and powdered ingredients. Mix for about one minute to incorporate the other ingredients. 4. Stop the mixer, scrape down the sides of the bowl (do this as needed), and then bring the mixer up to high speed. Whip the butter for five to ten minutes, or until it becomes thicker and fluffy. 5. Transfer the mixture to jars and allow to cool at room temperature for a couple of hours or in the refrigerator for about thirty minutes. This product is best displayed in clear packaging like our plastic PET Jars and glass Flint Jars. Tips and Troubleshooting Use this formulation as inspiration and a starting point to test. We encourage you to change up the percentages to achieve different consistencies, textures and final results.  You can masterbatch whipped body butter by leaving the base unscented. As you fulfill orders, simply weigh out the amount needed and gently fold in the aromatic as a last step before packaging. When working in warmer temperatures, your base may need a helping hand to whip up. Try placing your mixing bowl inside a larger bowl filled with ice to keep your base cool while whipping. You can also put the mixing bowl inside the refrigerator for about 5 to 10 minutes. Then return to whipping at high speed. Additionally, these formulations have a tendency to melt during warm weather or longer transit times, so they hold up best during cooler months. They can also be stored in the refrigerator during the Summer, or shipped with ice packs such as these. To Use A little goes a long way. Apply the butter to dry skin on your hands, feet, arms, legs, and torso. These butters can be used on the face but be sure to use ingredients that are extra light and non-greasy. Additional Fun Ideas for Whipped Body Butter Combination Suggestions Mango Butter + Macadamia Nut Oil + Pina Colada Plant-Based Fragrance Oil Organic Shea Butter + Peach Kernel Oil + Honey Creme Plant-Based Fragrance Oil Aloe Vera Butter + Organic Virgin Apricot Kernel Oil + Apricot Plant-Based Fragrance Oil Murumuru Butter + Organic Virgin Amaranth Oil + Palo Santo Fruit Essential Oil Important Information on Shelf Life & Stability The formulations featured on The Natural Beauty Workshop have not been challenge tested for stability or for the confirmation of their shelf life. Candy Corn Bath Bomb Parfaits: Multicolored fizzing bath treats made with rich cocoa butter and sweet almond oil. Can’t get enough of sugary sweets this autumn? No worries. This recipe has two sweet treats in one: a fizzy fragrance bath bomb and a butter bath melt topping! Candy Candy Corn Bath Bomb Parfaits are packed with moisturizing cocoa butter and sweet almond oil, and scented with fun colored layers of fizzing bath bomb powder. Inspired by trick or treat candies, we used our traditional Vanilla Fragrance Oil to scent our Candy Corn Bath Bombs. If you like, you can substitute the fragrance oil for another that you prefer.  If you’d prefer to use something natural, consider one of our Plant-Based Fragrance Oils. Our Vanilla Spice Plant-Based Fragrance Oil would be fantastic in this Candy Corn Bath Bomb recipe. We used our Organic Cocoa Butter as a main ingredient in our Candy Corn Bath Bomb recipe. Our pure cocoa butter has a natural aroma reminiscent of delicious melted chocolate. The subtle scent will add a mild chocolate aroma to the finished product. Try making this recipe your own by playing with the colors and scents used in our formula. Pair gold and brown with a chocolate scent, green and purple with something fun and floral, or pink and red with something sweet and fruity. The possibilities are endless! About the Ingredients Baking Soda and Citric Acid These two ingredients make up the base of most bath bomb and bath fizzy formulas. When used in a ratio of 2 parts baking soda to 1 part citric acid, the ingredients will react with water just the right way. Simple fizzles can be made using just these two ingredients with a small amount of water, but more advanced formulas can be bulked up with color, scent, clay, salt, carrier oils, butters, herbs, and more. White Kaolin Clay Also known as White Clay or China Clay, White Kaolin Clay is very gentle. This makes it suitable for all skin types. Even those with dry or sensitive skin types can enjoy products made with this mild, but deep cleansing ingredient. White Kaolin is often used as a base for facial masks. It can also be found in soaps, scrubs, and in bath bombs. Sweet Almond Oil Sweet Almond Oil is a classic ingredient for natural skin care products. It has a light, non-greasy texture that is easily absorbed by the skin. It can be used in everything from cold process soaps to lip balms, and is also a popular ingredient for lotions, creams, and aromatherapy formulations. Cocoa Butter The rich chocolate aroma of cocoa butter is immediately recognizable. This pure pressed butter is made from cacao, the main ingredient in chocolate. In addition to smelling delicious, cocoa butter is a superb moisturizing ingredient. It can be used to condition hair and skin when used alone or added to formulations such as lotions, soaps, or balms. Witch Hazel 86% Witch Hazel is a aqueous herbal extract that is prized for use in both folk remedies and natural skin care. The plant boasts natural anti-inflammatory benefits, gentle astringent properties, and has a knack for balancing the skin. Witch Hazel makes an excellent addition to body sprays, facial toners, emulsified creams and lotions, and a wetting agent for bath bombs. Candy Corn Bath Bomb Parfaits Makes approximately three 284 gram (10 ounce) bath bombs Ingredients For the Base 284 grams (10 ounces) Baking Soda 113 grams (4 ounces) Citric Acid 6 grams (.20 ounces) White Kaolin Clay 14 grams (.50 ounces) Sweet Almond Oil 14 grams (.50 ounces) Vanilla Fragrance Oil 14 grams (.50 ounces) Cocoa Butter (melted) 25 drops Liquid D&C Orange #4 25 drops Liquid FD&C Yellow #5 Witch Hazel, as needed for spritzing For the Frosting  284 grams (10 ounces) Baking Soda 57 grams (2 ounces) Citric Acid 43 grams (1.5 ounces) Cocoa Butter, Deodorized (melted) 20 drops of Vanilla Fragrance Oil 14 grams (.50 ounces) Cream of Tartar Holiday Sprinkles (optional) Directions For the Base Combine baking soda and kaolin clay in mixing bowl and stir well, breaking up any clumps. Melt cocoa butter and add to bowl followed by almond oil and fragrance oil. Mix very well.  Separate mixture evenly into 3 bowls. Add 25 drops Orange #4 to first bowl and mix until evenly colored. Add 25 drops Yellow #5 to second bowl and mix until evenly colored. Leave third bowl white. Divide citric acid evenly into three parts and add one to each bowl. Mix well until the product is evenly moistened. The texture should be similar to wet sand and should clump together easily when pressed. If it’s still too dry, give a couple of spritzes of Witch Hazel to moisten further. Divide the yellow powder into three equal portions (about 35 grams or 1.25 ounces each). Press the powder into the bottom of the mold and press firmly to compress. Repeat with the remaining two colors. Gently remove bath bombs from molds and set aside. For the Frosting  Combine baking soda and cream of tartar in bowl and mix well. Add fragrance oil and melted cocoa butter. Mix well. The mixture will start to feel sticky, similar to dough. Add citric acid and mix again to distribute evenly. Allow the mixture to cool, if necessary, until it is warm but still pliable. Put mixture into piping bag with frosting tip. (We used a Wilton 1M tip.) Pipe “frosting” onto bath bombs. Top with sprinkles. Allow bath bombs to cure and dry until they are rock hard (about 24 hours) before packaging. Usage & Packaging Bath bombs should be packaged in air-tight material in order to prevent them from being spoiled by moisture or humidity. Our Small Cello Bags are just right for this purpose. To use, simply drops a bath bomb into bath water and enjoy. The bath bomb will fizz, dissolve, and melt in a matter of minutes. Shelf Life & Stability: Please note that the formulations featured here on The Natural Beauty Workshop have not been challenge tested for stability or shelf life, and may not be suitable for commercial use as-is. XRP Makes Trump’s Top 5 List Of Crypto Blue Chips, What This Means For Price

XRP has made its way into an index-based crypto ETF, filed by Donald Trump’s Truth Social. This provides a bullish outlook for the altcoin, which has already recorded significant gains since the filing.

XRP Among Coins In Trump’s Truth Social ‘Crypto Blue Chip ETF’

Trump’s Truth Social filed for a Crypto Blue Chip ETF, which will contain XRP. The altcoin is one of the five coins that the fund will hold, alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Cronos. This is significant as the ETF is another spot fund that could provide investors direct exposure to XRP.

According to the filing, the fund will hold approximately 2% XRP, which is the lowest among the five coins. This development follows the SEC’s approval of Grayscale’s Digital Large Cap fund, another index-based crypto ETF, which contains XRP. Commenting on what this filing means for XRP, community member Pumpius remarked that the “most suppressed, underestimated asset might be going institutional.”

He further stated that President Trump is creating a gateway for Wall Street and Main Street to invest in XRP. Based on this, Pumpius declared that the game has changed for the altcoin after years of ridicule, through the Ripple SEC lawsuit. He claimed that this move is a validation for the altcoin.

Since Truth Social’s filing, the XRP price has surged, breaking the $2.30 resistance level in the process. Crypto analyst CasiTrades noted that momentum was building for XRP, with fundamentals such as the Truth Social filing contributing to the bullish sentiment. With the break above the $2.30 resistance level, she predicts that the altcoin could head straight to $2.69. She also mentioned that XRP could reach as high as $3.04, which is also a major Fibonacci level.

Other XRP ETFs On The Horizon

XRP could also receive a major boost with the other XRP ETFs, which could launch this month. Crypto influencer Nick drew the community’s attention to ProShares futures ETFs, which are pending SEC approval. The Commission is expected to decide on these funds by July 14, with an approval likely, given the Commission’s current crypto-friendly approach.

ProShares has filed for an Ultra ETF, a Short ETF, and an Ultra Short ETF, which would all provide indirect exposure to XRP. The Ultra XRP ETF has just recently been listed on the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC). This has further raised hopes of approval for the fund.

Turtle Capital 2xLong XRP Daily Target ETF is also in focus as the asset manager’s filing will become effective this month. Meanwhile, Volatility Shares has filed for XRP and 2x XRP ETFs, which could begin trading this month.

At the time of writing, the XRP price is trading at around $2.42, up over 5% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

Dogecoin Is Coiling For A 500% Move—Analyst Sees $1 Target

Crypto analyst VisionPulsed believes Dogecoin’s months-long torpor is disguising the build-up to what could be the memecoin’s final and most dramatic surge of the cycle. In a livestream dated 9 June, the analyst argued that a constellation of macro and on-chain signals is converging on an upside resolution that could propel DOGE “around 90 cents to a dollar,” a move of roughly 500 percent from its current corridor near 17–20 cents.

Dogecoin Blow-Off Top By November?

“This will be the largest move, probably 500 to 600 percent, which would put Doge around 90 cents to a dollar,” VisionPulsed told viewers after noting that each bull-market thrust since 2020 has exceeded the magnitude of the one before it.

Dogecoin price prediction

The analyst anchored his conviction in the hash ribbons indicator, an algorithm that compares short- and long-term mining hash rates to identify miner capitulation and subsequent recoveries. Historically, a hash-ribbons buy signal in Bitcoin has coincided with broad-based market advances. This cycle, however, the first buy signal was followed by fresh weakness, a deviation VisionPulsed called “the first time I think it actually got hash ribbons buy signal and it didn’t go up.”

While that atypical response sowed doubt about the indicator’s efficacy, the channel now shows a second capitulation phase that is poised to print another buy trigger. VisionPulsed framed the repetition as cumulatively bullish: if the next signal fires, the market will have absorbed two waves of miner stress without surrendering its broader up-trend foundations.

Beyond on-chain data, the analyst spotlighted a quartet of macro factors—euro-dollar dynamics, global M2 money supply growth, the distance from Bitcoin’s April halving, and record S&P 500 closes—as forces that “say we should go higher on a macro scale.” Each element, he suggested, keeps liquidity conditions and risk appetite broadly constructive even as individual coins mark time.

Yet Dogecoin’s five-day stochastic RSI remains mired in oversold territory. VisionPulsed thinks that paradoxically strengthens, rather than weakens, the case for an explosive move once momentum finally reverses: “It’s very difficult, or almost impossible, for Dogecoin to explode higher” while the oscillator is pinned low, but “when this does finally curl around, you’re probably going to see a larger move to the upside.”

Dogecoin Stoch RSI

For now, Dogecoin has drifted sideways for roughly three months, a pattern the analyst deems “extremely bullish” precisely because it is so uneventful. “If you bought in March, it’s the same price as it was now,” he said, describing the 17–20 cent channel as a pressure cooker. The longer the market remains range-bound, the sharper the eventual breakout is likely to be, he contended, pointing out past instances where identical flat periods preceded 30 percent relief rallies—even if those bursts failed to satisfy long-term holders.

Plotting the projected trajectory on his chart, VisionPulsed’s template would deliver the upside resolution sometime between October and December—a window that coincides with the historical peak of Bitcoin’s four-year cycle. “Historically November, December, October has been the top … so that would indicate that if we do get one final move, it will probably be the final move,” he observed.

At press time, DOGE traded at $0.18.
